Ok, so just a few days ago we had a BBQ, played outside all afternoon and barely had to wear a jacket when leaving the house. Then yesterday, it's this.
Seriously, what's the deal? And there are more snowstorms forecasted. I just want it to be warm and no snow! We definitely need to move to a warmer climate. I'm hoping for somewhere close to the equator!

Turning 2
Wednesday was Lexi's 2nd Birthday! It is so hard to believe that she's been a part of our lives for 2 whole years. We love her so much and are so glad to have her with us. Here's some pictures of how she has grown the past 2 years.

2nd Birthday
Lexi had a fun time playing with her Grandpa and Grandma and going out to dinner with them. She also had a fun time talking to her Grammy and Grandad after she opened their presents. What a spoiled little girl! :-) Myra was actually really funny during the day with Lexi's birthday. She was so excited to help wrap presents and make cupcakes. But, when it came to Lexi receiving her presents, she had a really hard time understanding why nothing was for her. Too bad her birthday wasn't before Lexi's.

#3
Yes, we are expecting! Baby #3 is due September 3rd, so I'm about 17 weeks along. Almost halfway there! WooHoo! We are all very excited! Myra is hoping for a girl and comes up with new random names every day, like Tinkerbell or Lulalilu. Lexi likes to pat my growing tummy and say, "Baby." I've been pretty sick with this baby, but am starting to feel MUCH better! We are all looking forward to this new addition to our family!
(Oh, and Myra can barely spell her name, much less write it. Chad found the note we posted online and photo shopped some changes. We thought it was cute. And Myra informed me that we can have the baby first, then get a new puppy. And a cat.)

Dreaming
Chad woke me up in the middle of the night yelling out the words:
WHAT THE....
It totally freaked me out and I jumped up expecting something dreadful.
I look at Chad and he is on his stomach looking at the wall and he says, "They're gone."
And I said, "What's gone." And he answered, "The Three Amigos are gone."

Welcome to the First Day of Spring!
It's not quite Florida weather, but it has been extremely tolerable here for the past few days. Yesterday we went to the Willow Park Zoo and the playground and spent all afternoon blowing bubbles and drawing with sidewalk chalk outside. Today we had a little "picnic" out back. While we were in Florida, we ate almost every meal outside, so now that we are home, Myra has wanted to do the same. So, today, I hauled out the kitchen table and chairs onto the back patio so we could eat lunch out there. It was a little cool, but the kids enjoyed it!
Hurray for Spring!

Disney World
While in Florida, we got the opportunity to go to DisneyWorld. I had no idea what it would be like. It's like an entire city made up of all these different Disney resorts. We went to the Magic Kingdom, which is almost an exact duplicate of DisneyLand. The girls weren't big fans of the rides, especially if they were dark at all. But they loved the Tiki Room, the Safari boat ride, the flying carpets
and especially, It's a Small World. But the highlight of the trip was meeting the different Disney Characters, especially the Princesses. We first saw Aladdin and Jasmine. I loved watching Myra waiting in line.
We talked Myra into riding on Splash Mountain.

Florida 2009
We had such a fun and relaxing trip to Florida! We arrived late on the 9th and were greeted by Grammy, Grandad and Auntie Jo. It was a long flight to Florida, but the girls were awesome! We were really excited to be in the warm weather and the next day we were really busy playing in the pool (it's not heated, so it was still a little cool, but that didn't deter the girls much!) , having a picnic in the park and feeding the birds,
and visiting the local wildlife refuge. We topped the day off with a trip to the beach. We were a little disappointed that the girls weren't more interested in playing in the ocean. Several of the times we went, the waves were fairly rough, and I think that scared them quite a bit. They didn't even like getting their feet wet. Oh well, but they LOVED playing in the sand! They were more than willing to be buried in it, especially Lexi. She would asked to be buried as soon as we got there and wouldn't move the rest of the time at the beach.
On Thursday, we went to DisneyWorld. I have a lot to tell about that day, so I'll post a separate blog about it.
The rest of the time we were there, we spent most of it at the beach, the IntraCoastal
or the pool. It was so relaxing. The kids never did get much braver at going out into the ocean, although on the last day, the ocean was so calm, we took them both out in little boats. Myra cried most of the time, but Lexi didn't seem to mind it too much. We found lots of sea shells, got really sandy
and Chad got to try out surfing, bodyboarding and skim boarding.
Here's the picture from after the crash.
We spent more and more time in the pool. Myra didn't really ever get off the first couple of steps, but Lexi really seemed to enjoy floating around the pool in her little tube.
Chad and I went canoeing and snorkeling in the IntraCoastal one day. It quite an adventure, trying to avoid getting tipped over by the power boats speeding by. I even saw a SeaTurtle swimming by us. We also found this really cool Sea Snail called a Cowry.

We had so much fun spending a week in the warm, sunny weather of Florida. It was really hard to come home to the cold. I had quite the argument with Myra this morning about why she had to wear her coat outside here. The girls had a wonderful time visiting their Grammy and Grandad and were sad to leave them. We all had a great time and can't wait for our next visit! Now where is that aloe vera? My sunburn is killing me!
