Trick-Or-Treat
Another Halloween has come and gone and all we have to show for it is a very hyper two year old, and these pictures, of course! Myra didn't really understand it much, but when I tried to explain Trick-or-Treating to her today, she was very excited and wanted to go right then. In fact, she kept coming out of her room during nap time to see if it was time to go Trick-or-Treating. Finally she took a nap and when she woke up, that's the first thing she asked me. Then I had to make her wait longer until Dad was home. We went over to our friends, the Day's, so that Myra and Camille could Trick-or-Treat together. It was so cute. I think Myra mostly enjoyed ringing the doorbells. Then we had dinner that night with the Day's. It was a fun Halloween. The pictures above are of Myra, Camille, Lexi and Madelynn. There are also some pictures at our ward Halloween party.

My two Babies
Lately, Myra has decided that if Lexi is doing something cute, she needs to do the same thing, then she says, "Look Mama, your two babies, take a picture." Of course she rarely smiles for the camera, but in these instances, she seems to like her picture taken. So, here are some pictures of my two "Babies."

Home Again
After two weeks in sunny, warm and humid Florida, we were greeted back in Utah with cold and rainy weather. It was so great to get home. Chad was able to get a pass to come in and meet us at the gate. I wasn't expecting it, so I walked right by him, but Myra noticed and she was so happy to see her daddy. I was pretty excited too! It was fun talking and getting caught up on the way home, but what a surprise I was in for when I got home. Take a look at this picture...
For those of you that haven't been to our house, this is a picture of our front room and when I left for Florida, it wasn't blue. That's right, Chad painted our front room and added some shelves, which I have been wanting for a while. He had also completely cleaned the entire house. I have the best husband in the world! It is so great to be back home with him. Now I am just trying to get the kids back into their normal schedules and get everything put away. Ugh!
I'm kind of going out of order because I want to tell about the rest of our trip. I last wrote a week ago. The rest of that week, we mostly just hung around the house and swam in the pool. Natalie and I went canoeing and snorkeling a little, but the intracoastal was really murky, so the snorkeling wasn't as good as when we were there in August. We also finally made it to the beach. However, the waves were really rough and high, so we were kind of timid about going out to far. We mostly just played near shore and looked for seashells.
On Saturday, we got up early and took off for Miami to go to the Seaquarium there. Brandon and Allison went with us. It was a lot of fun. We saw a couple of different dolphin shows, a killer whale show, manatees, crocodiles, sea turtles, birds and a bunch of other fun stuff. The funnest show we went to was the Sea Lion show. It was a lot of fun. Myra enjoyed it quite a bit also. We spent all day there and could have probably stayed longer, but everyone was hungry and Myra was pretty tired. On Sunday, we went to church and had an interesting lesson about the pope and what his staff represents. Why? Good question. On Monday, Jordyn and Kent played hooky from school and work and the girls went shopping for a little bit in the morning, then in the afternoon we went to Singer Island and played in the ocean again.
Once again, the water was really rough, but I think because Jordyn and Kent were more brave than Natalie and I alone, we were more into going out farther in the water. It was all you could do to keep your balance, the water was pulling on us so hard. That night Brandon and Allison came up for dinner and games. Then, Tuesday morning we packed up and flew home. (It was such a long flight!)
Well, we had a lot of fun in Florida. It was so nice of Kent and Judi to fly us out and we will cherish the memories we made while there.

Butted by a Goat
I got to take Myra on several amusement park rides, which she loved. Especially the flying dragon. But the highlight of the trip was feeding Giraffes. We were able to feed this Giraffe's crackers and it was great. Myra didn't like their long tongues, but once again, she was very brave. She has no fear. So, it was a fun activity. Myra really likes animals.

Key West
Yesterday we took a drive to the Florida Keys. We got up about 5:30, although we didn't leave the house until around 7:30. Its hard getting 3 little kids ready. Once we made it to Key Large, we stopped at a little park to feed babies and change diapers. They had a bunch of cool aquariums and Myra enjoyed looking at the large tropical fish. We stopped on Islamorada and went to the Theater of the Sea. We got to see a bird show, dolphin show, sea lion show and take a trip in an open bottom boat while dolphins swam next to us. The dolphins were the best. It was a lot of fun. After lunch we headed down to Key West, the most southern point in the Continental U.S. We got there kind of late and didn't get to do too much there, especially since we got hit by a huge rainstorm. It was like a hurricane without such powerful wind. Kind of scary. We were all soaked, since we were outside when it started raining. Then we headed back. It was a lot of fun. Today we hung out and watched Conference and went swimming. The kids are doing great. Myra's hair is super curly with all this humidity and Lexi just sleeps, eats and coos.

6th Month Birthday
I can't believe it! Alexys is 6 months old today. The time has absolutely flown by. I can't believe that she has been with us for so long already. Every day she becomes more and more of a joy. She is laughing and smiling all of the time and adores her older sister. She is always watching her when they are together. We took Lexi in for her 6 month check-up today and the doctor thinks she looks great. She weighs a whopping 11lbs. 12oz. She sure screamed with her shots. :-( That's the worse part of doctors visits. Myra liked it though, because while Lexi got the shots, she got the sucker. Lexi has also hit another milestone this week. She's started teething. Ugh. She's sucking on her hands and drooling a lot, but it doesn't seem to be bothering her too much.
Yesterday, Myra, Lexi and I went down to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Sandy. They took us to the local
aquarium, which Myra loved. Here are a couple of pictures.
There was a large fish tank made to look as if you were looking out of a boat. Myra loved to look through it and see us on the other side. She also like playing on the coral playground.
Last weekend was USU's Homecoming. Of course we lost, but Myra loved the parade. She was very competitive with the older kids while going after candy. On a funny note, on Sunday I was giving Alexys a bath before church and Myra was helping me. She kept trying to take turns with my washing the baby off and she got so involved in it, she fell into the tub. She was stuck hanging over the side with her head in the water. She wanted to cry about it, but I was laughing so hard, I think it confused her. Anyway, after bathing Lexi, she wanted a bath like the baby. So, here is a baby picture of Myra taking a bath.

Myra
Myra is such a great kid, she is so optimistic about life. The other day we heard Lexi in her room crying in the morning, as parents not ready to start the day, we tried to ignore her as long as we could. Shannon broke first and got up and went in to get her. Myra was still laying in bed wide awake, when Shannon came in Myra said "look mommy, Lexi is singing to me". I wish I could hear crying as singing. here is a short movie of Myra dancing, and a few pics.
